Job Role:
As a Vehicle Painter, you will be responsible for preparing, masking and painting a range of commercial vehicles, including HGV trailers, tipper trucks and vans. The Vehicle Painter will carry out both full refurbishment paintwork and smaller repair jobs, ensuring a high-quality finish is achieved on every project. Duties include inspecting vehicles prior to painting, preparing surfaces when required, mixing and applying 2K paint systems, and operating both pump-fed and hand-held spray guns. The Vehicle Painter will maintain high standards of safety, quality and workmanship throughout the painting process.
Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:
- Proven experience in commercial vehicle spray painting
- Experience using both pump guns and hand-held spray guns
- Strong vehicle preparation and masking skills
- Experience applying 2K paint systems
- Ability to inspect work and maintain high-quality standards
- Ability to work independently and efficiently within a busy workshop environment
Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:
- Spray painting or vehicle refinishing qualifications
- Previous experience working on HGV trailers, tipper trucks or commercial vehicles
- Experience carrying out both refurbishment and repair paintwork
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Painter within a commercial vehicle environment
