Recruit4staff are proud to be representing their client, a well-known manufacturing company in their search for a Workshop Fitter to work in their leading facility in Basildon. For the successful Workshop Fitter, our client is offering:
- Hourly rate of £15 - £16 per hour depending on experience
- Monday - Thursday 7am-4pm with a 12pm finish on Fridays
- Potential Overtime opportunities
- Ongoing project - Will last until the end of year at least, but could extend
- Free on site parking
The role - Workshop Fitter:
- Completing tractor driveline removal, installation & modifications
- Preparation of Tractors for engineering tests
- Conduct Fitting, vehicle instrumentation & testing work
- Supporting test engineers in line with agreed project timescales
- Supporting with troubleshooting tractor faults & test failures
- Completing all associated paperwork
- Uploading reports into the customers reporting system
- Diagnose, repair and maintain mechanical issues
What the client is looking for in a Workshop Fitter:
- Full UK Licence - Essential
- Must demonstrate suitable Fitting/Vehicle Technician based experience
- Able to remove, replace and modify mechanical assemblies
- Demonstrates mechanical fault finding & troubleshooting skills
- Able to work from drawings
- IT literate
We're looking for candidates who have either: Automotive, Commercial Vehicle, Vehicle Fitting, Agricultural experience.
