Recruit4staff are representing an established engineering and manufacturing business in their search for a Welder/Fabricator to work in Newtown
Job Details:
Pay: £13.50 to £16.00 per hour, depending on experience
Hours of Work: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, day shifts. Start time varies.
Duration: Permanent
Job Role: Working as a Welder/Fabricator , you will carry out MIG welding and fabrication on materials ranging from 3mm to 40mm in thickness. The Welder/Fabricator will manufacture and weld a wide range of forklift and telehandler attachments and other industrial products, including bespoke products built to customer requirements. You will also inspect completed welds to ensure accuracy, quality and a consistently high standard of workmanship.
Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:
Proven experience working as a Welder/Fabricator or in a similar welding and fabrication role
Proficient in the use of band saws and pillar drills
Confident setting up and operating welding equipment
MIG welding experience across a range of material thicknesses
Minimum Level 2 Welding & Fabrication qualification
Ability to inspect completed work and maintain high standards of quality
Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications
Previous Welder/Fabricator experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment
FLT licence would be beneficial
Experience with stainless steel TIG welding
Commutable From: Newtown, Oswestry, Welshpool, Powys and surrounding Mid Wales areas
