Recruit4staff are representing a well-established vehicle bodyshop and repair specialist in their search for a MET Technician to work in Wirral.
Job Role: As an MET Technician, you will be diagnosing and fixing mechanical and electrical faults caused by traffic accidents. The role includes stripping and rebuilding crash-damaged mechanical parts and body panels such as clutches, suspension and brakes. You will be replacing damaged components, including headlights, brakes, and airbags, and ensuring that vehicles are returned to a safe and roadworthy condition.
Job Details:
- Pay: £34,000 - £38,000 per annum plus overtime OTE £43,000
- Hours of Work: 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday (42.5-hour week)
- Duration: Permanent
- Overtime: Paid at x1.5 after 8 hrs in the day

Essential Skills & Experience:
- Mechanical fitting, automotive mechanic
- Must have own tools
- Stripping and disassembly or engine ancillaries, cooling systems, suspension
- Mechanical and electrical automotive experience
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Vehicle Repair Qualifications
- IMI Level 2 or higher
- NVQ diplomas in relevant vehicle disciplines
Desired Qualifications:
- Suitable vehicle repair qualifications, NVQs or similar, or previous experience
