Recruit4staff are representing a well-established recycling and aggregate processing business in their search for a Heavy Plant Fitter to work in Liverpool.
Job Details
- Pay: £24 - £26 per hour (depending on experience)
- Overtime paid at £32 per hour (Overtime is anything outside of the Monday to Friday 7am-5pm hours)
- Hours of Work: 07:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday, 47.5 hours per week, plus 07:00 - 12:00 Saturday when required
- Duration: Permanent
- Benefits: Standard pension, 20 days paid annual leave plus Bank Holidays, additional service days after 5 years
The successful Heavy Plant Fitter will carry out planned and reactive maintenance, servicing and repairs on heavy plant and wash plant equipment used within the recycling operation. Duties include maintaining excavators, loading shovels, crushers, screeners and wash plant machinery to ensure safe and efficient performance. The Heavy Plant Fitter will diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults while carrying out preventative maintenance to maximise machinery uptime.
Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications
- Previous experience of heavy plant service and maintenance work
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Excellent experience working on plant machinery including loading shovels, excavators, wash plant, crusher, and screener equipment
- Proven experience of troubleshooting, diagnostics, fault finding and breakdown repair
- City & Guilds / NVQ in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Ability to work independently and as part of a busy maintenance team as a Heavy Plant Fitter
Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications
- Previous experience with aggregate wash plant maintenance highly desirable
- Electrical engineering qualifications
- NPORS / CPCS Plant Tickets
