MUST BE HAPPY TO ATTEND PSYCHOMETRIC TESTING AT FIRST STAGE.

For the successful Production Technician, our client is offering:

  • Starting salary of £31,600 which rises as experience/competence are signed off; if you can run all processes it can rise to £41,220
  • 4 on 4 off, 12 hour shifts rotating days and nights, 07:25 - 19:35/19:35 - 07:25
  • Permanent role
  • Auto enrolment

  • Holiday pay based on average hours worked, 5 weeks & 8 Bank Hols after 1st year.

As a Production Technician your responsibilities will be:

  • Stay hands-on with the machinery— spotting potential faults, investigating issues and problem solving to prevent downtime.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with Food Safety, Quality, and Health & Safety standards.
  • Running the line to standard operating procedures, which include start-up and changeovers.
  • Leading a line with machine operators, training and driving performance.
  • Liaising with development teams for improvements on standards to drive continuous improvement, supporting refining processes to boost productivity.
  • Taking ownership of the production line's performance, ensuring it runs efficiently and is in complete control.

What our client is looking for in a Production Technician:

  • An individual with a strong technical mindset, who enjoys working with, setting and operating machinery - ESSENTIAL
  • Technically competent to solve problems, taking action to ensure delivery, gaining support to ensure delivery
  • Experience with changeovers/basic machine maintenance - ESSENTIAL
  • Someone excited by learning new techniques & technology, with a drive for continuous improvements and lean manufacturing.
  • An effective communicator who listens and gives clear instructions, someone who isn’t afraid of challenge, gaining support from experts when needed.
  • Ideally experienced within the food or processing industry – although not essential
  • Must be happy/available to attend a numerical and verbal reasoning test - ESSENTIAL
