Recruit4staff are representing a well-established mechanical engineering company in their search for a Pipefitter Welder to work in Runcorn.

Job Role: The Pipefitter Welder will be responsible for fabricating a range of products from start to finish, including pipework using TIG welding on both ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Duties involve interpreting engineering drawings, assembling and installing pipes, valves and fittings, and ensuring quality standards are maintained throughout. The role will include both workshop and site-based work, with tasks such as cutting, threading, welding and accurate installation of mechanical components.

Job Details:

  • Pay: £18 per hour (PAYE) or £24 per hour (Umbrella)
  • Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday, 7.30am–3.30pm; earlier finish on Fridays
  • Duration: Temporary
  • Benefits: Overtime paid at x1.25 (Mon–Fri after 8 hrs), x1.5 (Saturday), x2 (Sunday); Minimum 4 hours pay for weekend work

  • Pipe fitting
  • Pipe welding (TIG)
  • Working from drawings

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Coded TIG welder
  • Site fitting & fabrication experience

Essential Qualifications:

  • C&G/NVQ in Fabrication and Welding or equivalent

Desired Qualifications:

  • ASME coding for stainless steel welding
  • Site cards (CCNSG/CSCS Gold etc.)
  • PASMA
  • IPAF
  • FLT Licence
