Recruit4staff are representing a well-established Local Authority in their search for a Senior Estates Surveyor to work in Ormskirk.
Job Details:
- Pay: £23.48 - £30.81 per hour (PAYE - LTD)
- Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, days position
- Duration: Contract (9 months)

Job Role:
As a Senior Estates Surveyor, you will provide a professional estates management service across the organisation, supporting internal departments with strategic property advice and asset management. The Senior Estates Surveyor will carry out property valuations, manage acquisitions, disposals and lease negotiations, while playing a key role in regeneration schemes and the ongoing development of the property portfolio. You will also contribute to the management and development of other members of the estates team.
Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:
- Previous estate surveying experience
- Previous experience working as a Senior Surveyor
- Experience carrying out asset valuations
- Experience managing property acquisitions, disposals and lease arrangements
- Ability to provide professional advice to internal departments as a Senior Estates Surveyor
- Experience managing and developing other staff
Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:
- Degree in Real Estate, Property Management, Valuation & Estate Management, Building Surveying or similar
- MRICS (Chartered Surveyor) preferred
- 5+ years' experience of acquisitions, disposals and lease renewals
- Good understanding of the Landlord & Tenant Act 1954
- Good understanding of public procurement rules
- Previous experience supporting capital programmes as a Senior Estates Surveyor
