Recruit4staff is pleased to represent a leading manufacturing company in its search for a Structural Design Engineer to work at their leading facility in Whitchurch.
For the successful Structural Design Engineer, our client is offering:
Competitive salary paying up to £50,000 depending on experience
Days-based role Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week - 8am-4pm or 7am-4pm with a 12pm finish on Fridays
Permanent position within a well-established engineering business
Pension scheme
The Role - Structural Design Engineer:
Managing a variety of structural design projects at any given time
Working on current project ranges and improving/modifying existing structural designs
Producing detailed structural designs, drawings and calculations
Working with departments across the business to report on the status of projects
Preparation of technical documentation and design specifications
Liaison with customers when required
Ensuring all structural designs are produced to the required standards and specifications
Designing using 2D & 3D CAD software, including SolidWorks
Reviewing designs and drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance
Project management from initial concept through to completion
What our client is looking for in a Structural Design Engineer:
Strong 2D / 3D structural design-based skills
Qualified within a Structural, Civil or Mechanical Engineering discipline - Advantageous
Previous experience within structural design or a similar engineering environment
Proven ability to meet project deadlines
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Strong working experience with CAD design software, including SolidWorks
Ability to produce and interpret technical drawings and specifications
