Job Details:
- Pay: Competitive Basic Salary
- Hours of Work: 35.25 hours per week
- Week One: Mon - Wed (06:05-17:50) (Working 11.75 hrs per day)
- Week Two: Thu - Sat (06:05-17:50) (Working 11.75 hrs per day)
- Duration: Permanent

Job Role:
The CNC Setter/Operator will be responsible for setting and operating Fanuc controlled CNC lathes and vertical machining centres, as well as multi-axis turn/mill machining centres to manufacture high-precision components. The CNC Setter/Operator will work with stainless steels and heat resistant super alloys. Working from detailed engineering drawings, the CNC Setter/Operator will utilise probing systems, CMM, and optical inspection equipment to maintain fine tolerances. This role requires a strong focus on precision and quality within a modern manufacturing environment.
Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a CNC Setter/Operator within a precision engineering environment
- Good knowledge of setting and operating Fanuc controlled CNC lathes and vertical machining centres
- Strong background in setting and operating multi-axis CNC machining centres
- Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:
- City & Guilds/NVQ in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent)
- Experience in the setup and operation of Mazak Integrex machine tools
- Knowledge of Mazatrol Smooth control
- Experience of twin turret, twin spindle machining
Additional Information:
Rotating shift pattern: Week 1 Thursday to Saturday, 05:55-17:40; Week 2 Monday to Wednesday, 05:55-17:40
