Job Details:
- Pay: £13.50 - £15.00 per hour (Depending on experience)
- Overtime paid at x1.5
- Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 7:15am - 3:45pm
- Duration: Temp to Perm
Job Role:
As a Multi-Skilled Operative, you will support the manufacture of high-quality modular and portable accommodation units. The role involves working with wood, metal and plastics to assemble and fit out modular buildings while following production schedules and technical drawings. You will prepare materials and components, carry out trimming and finishing work, install fixtures and fittings, assist with basic electrical and plumbing installations, operate hand and power tools safely, complete quality inspections and ensure all work meets company standards.
Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Multi-Skilled Operative or within modular manufacturing, construction, building services or a similar environment.
- Knowledge of carpentry, joinery, plumbing, electrics or general interior fitting.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
- Competent in the safe use of hand tools and power tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced team environment.
- Good understanding of health and safety within a workshop or manufacturing environment.
Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:
- City & Guilds/NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or equivalent) in Joinery, Plumbing, Electrical Installation, Engineering or a related construction trade.
- Forklift licence.
