Job Details:

  • Pay: £40,000 per annum (Bonus Scheme, Overtime Opportunities, Company Vehicle, Phone and Laptop)
  • Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, Days role, 45 hours per week
  • Duration: Permanent

Job Role:

As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, calibration, maintenance and repair of specialist weighing equipment at customer sites. The Service Engineer will provide technical support, diagnose faults and carry out preventative and corrective maintenance on check-weighing and high-speed precision weighing systems. Working closely with customers and internal teams, the Service Engineer will ensure equipment operates efficiently while maintaining excellent levels of customer service. The role also includes customer training, documentation management and identifying opportunities for service improvements.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Service Engineer or Field Engineer
  • Experience repairing and maintaining check-weighing machines, multi-head check-weighers and high-speed precision weighing equipment
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • BTEC or equivalent qualification in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

  • Experience within FMCG environments
  • Experience with SAP or field service management software
  • Good understanding of mechanical, electrical or electronic systems
  • Ability to read technical drawings and manuals
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
