Recruit4staff are representing a well-established paper hygiene manufacturing business in their search for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) to work in Grantham.
Job Details:
- Pay: Up to £51,500 per annum
- Hours of Work: 4 on 4 off, which is Days & Nights
- Duration: Permanent
- Benefits: Dental care cover, early access to pay, Christmas shutdown, 5% pension contribution, and 22 shifts holiday entitlement
Job Role:
As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will maintain facilities, equipment, and machinery safely and cost-effectively to maximise Overall Equipment Effectiveness. The Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer will support engineering projects, installation, commissioning, planned and reactive maintenance, CMMS reporting, fault finding, and continuous improvement activity across a fast-paced manufacturing facility.
Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer or similar within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Highly developed fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- PLC fault finding and diagnostics experience
- Ability to understand and amend ladder logic
- Ability to read complex electrical and engineering drawings
- Good IT skills, including MS Office
- NVQ Level 3/ HNC or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Maintenance
- 18th Edition or latest electrical qualification, or a fully indentured multi-disciplined apprenticeship
- Strong commitment to safety and equipment improvement
Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer role
- Experience implementing best-practice improvement tools, including TPM, Lean, 5S, Kaizen, standardised work, and asset management
Additional Information:
The successful Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer will identify equipment issues, recommend improvements, troubleshoot equipment and process problems to root cause, and participate in improvement teams to enhance performance and operating practices.
