Job Role
The successful Operations Manager will take responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, stock control and operational performance across the business. The Operations Manager will work closely with senior leadership teams to ensure production targets, labour efficiencies and operational objectives are achieved in line with company strategy. The Operations Manager will oversee production planning, labour resource management, process improvements, engineering compliance and supply chain collaboration. Duties will also include working closely with Purchasing, R&D, Quality and Technical departments to support new product introductions, improve manufacturing methods and drive operational efficiencies across the site. This full site-based Operations Manager role offers the opportunity to contribute to long‑term operational strategy and future progression into an Operations Director position.
Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications
- Previous senior operations leadership experience within manufacturing or engineering
- Previous experience improving processes and efficiencies
- Experience working with ERP systems
- Strong production planning and labour management experience
- Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills
- Strong understanding of health & safety and operational compliance
Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications
- A degree in Engineering or similar would be advantageous
- Health & Safety related qualifications
- Continuous Improvement qualifications
- Quality related qualification/training
