Recruit4staff are representing a leading building services business in their search for a Facilities Maintenance Engineer – Mechanical Bias to work in Cardiff

Job Details:

  • Pay: Starting Salary of £38,000 per annum, which will rise to £40,000 after a successful probation period (Shift allowance of £2500)
  • Hours of Work: Working hours, 7am-7pm | 7pm-7am 4 on 4 off shift pattern, 12 hour shifts
  • Duration: Permanent
  • Benefits: 22 days holiday, Pension, Company phone, Training & development opportunities

Job Role: Undertake the maintenance and repair of Gas, Plumbing, and Mechanical services, including fabric tasks of buildings as required under contract. Completing planned and reactive maintenance in commercial buildings. Completing the appropriate paperwork and reports. Working on commercial heating and plumbing systems. Completing service, maintenance, fault-finding, and breakdown. Supervising on-site sub-contractors.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working in the facilities management sector covering PPM and reactive maintenance
  • Experience of maintenance, testing & fault finding on a variety of equipment including boiler plant, ventilation, pumps, generators, switchgear, cables, batteries, small power and lighting (where applicable)
  • C&G/NVQ in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

  • Commercial Gas experience
  • Electrical engineering experience
