Recruit4staff are representing a well-established manufacturer business in their search for an Assembly Technician to work in Ellesmere Port.
Job Details:
- Pay: Up to Β£28,000 per annum
- Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday: 8:30am β 5:00pm, Friday: 8:30am β 4:00pm (39-hour working week)
- Duration: Permanent
- Benefits: Standard pension, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, up to 8 weeks sick pay after 1 year's service, potential internal & external industry training
Job Role:
The Assembly Technician will be responsible for the fabrication and assembly of hoses, conducting hose repairs and testing, producing certifications, and managing the hose database. Duties will include pneumatic and hydraulic hose testing, both in-house and offsite at customer locations. The role also involves writing detailed test reports and operating various machinery such as swaging machines, hose cutters, shrink wrapping burners, and pelleting machines. The successful candidate will be expected to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain high standards of health and safety.
Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:
- Proven experience of using hand tools and power tools
- Previous experience working in an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Excellent knowledge of industrial health & safety and quality standards
- Experience working to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Full Drivers Licence
Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:
- NVQ/C&G in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent trade qualification
- TIG Welding experience
