Recruit4staff is proud to be representing their client, a leading Building Services Company in their search for a Commercial Gas Engineer to be based near Chester working across the North West of England and North Wales area

For the successful Commercial Gas Engineer, our client is offering:

  • Basic of up to Β£40,000 per annum (Negotiable depending on experience)
  • 40 hours per week (Days)
  • Permanent Position
  • Company Vehicle (Personal Use), Fuel Card
  • Paid Travel Time (Door to door)
  • Opportunities for overtime at x1.5 and x2 rates
  • Call-out allowance of Β£100
  • 24 Days holiday + Bank Holidays
  • Pension – employer contribution of 5%
  • Death in service cover

The Role – Commercial Gas Engineer

  • Working in various commercial & industrial client sites
  • Mobile role covering the North West and North Wales area
  • Fault Finding, Service, maintenance & breakdown work on commercial & industrial heating and ventilation plant
  • Planned and reactive maintenance
  • Working on a variety of equipment including boilers, burners, radiant heaters, AHUs etc
  • Attending emergency call-outs
  • Some requirements for project/installation work

What our client is looking for in a Commercial Gas Engineer

  • Current and in-date ACS Commercial Gas Qualifications (COCN1, CORT1, CIGA1, CDGA1 etc) ESSENTIAL
  • Full Driving Licence ESSENTIAL
  • knowledge of gas-fired burners and the controls thereof along with associated plant ESSENTIAL
  • Previous experience in a similar service & maintenance role ESSENTIAL
  • Proven fault finding & breakdown experience ESSENTIAL
  • City & Guilds F-Gas / City & Guilds 18th Edition BENEFICIAL
  • NVQ/City & Guilds in Plumbing BENEFICIAL
