Job Role:

The Manufacturing Engineer will play a key role in supporting production and driving continuous improvement across the manufacturing environment. The Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with production teams, operators, and cross-functional departments to ensure equipment, tooling, and processes run efficiently while supporting new product introduction and production targets. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be involved in multiple engineering projects including developing products ahead of launch, implementing process improvements, and supporting new production equipment installation. The Manufacturing Engineer will also troubleshoot manufacturing issues, improve efficiency using Lean manufacturing principles, and coordinate the design, procurement, build and commissioning of tooling and machinery.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working as a Manufacturing Engineer or in a similar engineering role within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of engineering processes involving CNC machines, press machines, and assembly operations
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for analysis, reporting, and production tracking
  • BSc or HNC in an engineering or technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of ERP systems such as Epicor
  • Experience supporting new product introduction and manufacturing process improvements
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing tools and continuous improvement strategies

Additional Information:

  • Reports to the Engineering Manager and works closely with production teams
  • Involvement in capital equipment projects, automation initiatives, and process validation
  • Responsible for maintaining safe working practices and supporting a clean and organised production environment
