Job Details:
- Pay: £16.00 - £20.42 per hour (Permanent rate of £20.42 per hour available upon successful completion of the temporary period)
- Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm, with a 40-minute lunch break and two paid 10-minute tea breaks
- Duration: Temp to Perm

Job Role:
The Fabricator Welder will be responsible for manufacturing structural steel components within a busy workshop environment. The Fabricator Welder will work from detailed engineering drawings, carrying out fabrication, assembly and MIG welding duties to a high standard. Duties include setting out and marking up materials, preparing steel using saws, plasma cutters, grinders and drills, assembling components using tack welding, clamps, jigs and fixtures, fitting end plates, stiffeners and cleats, and operating overhead cranes safely and efficiently. This Fabricator Welder position offers the opportunity to secure a permanent role with a growing engineering business.
Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Fabricator Welder working with structural steel
- Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings
- Experience setting out, marking up and preparing materials
- Experience using saws, plasma cutters, grinders and drills
- MIG welding experience
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering discipline
Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:
- Overhead crane licence
- Experience working within a structural steel fabrication environment
