Recruit4staff are proud to be representing their client, a leading engineering company, in their search for a Panel Wirer to be based from their head office in Whitland, Pembrokeshire.

What our client is offering for the successful Panel Wirer:

  • £32K to £37K, depending on experience
  • Working hours: 8 am - 5:30 pm Monday to Friday
  • Ongoing training & development in panel wiring & automation work
  • Permanent position
  • Overtime opportunities paid at time/half after standard hours in the week & Saturday and double/time on Sundays
  • Company pension scheme
  • Career progression opportunities
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

The Role - Panel Wirer:

  • Working in their workshop, completing panel building work initially
  • Working from drawings & electrical schematics
  • Marking out control panel component mounting plates to the layout drawings
  • Fitting components with suitable fixtures
  • Determine suitable wire types and sizes
  • Using hand & power tools
  • Completing basic automation work (repeats/building HMI building)

What our client is looking for in the successful Panel Wirer:

  • Minimum of NVQ/City & Guilds level 2 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent - ESSENTIAL
  • Full driver's licence
  • Previous experience of industrial electrical engineering work - BENEFICIAL
  • Previous experience of LV/MV panel wiring/building - BENEFICIAL
  • Able to read electrical schematics & engineering drawings
  • Ability to learn while on the job
  • Willingness to complete tasks outside of the designated role
