Job Details:

  • Pay: £40,000 per annum
  • Hours of Work: Days - 07:00 - 16:00, Afternoons - 14:00 - 22:00, Nights - 19:00 - 05:00
  • Duration: Permanent
  • Benefits: Free parking, £2,000 joining bonus (payable after completion of 3-month probation period), Continuing improvement and development opportunities, Standard pension scheme, 25 days holiday

Job Role: The CNC Programmer will be responsible for programming CNC milling machines using Edgecam to manufacture high-quality precision-engineered components. The role involves setting and operating CNC milling machinery, selecting appropriate tooling and fixtures, and ensuring products are manufactured to technical drawings and specifications. The CNC Programmer will develop and optimise machining processes, maintain programme documentation, troubleshoot machining issues, and work closely with engineering teams to support tooling development and plastics injection moulding projects.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a CNC Programmer within a CNC milling environment
  • Proficiency in CNC programming using Edgecam
  • Strong programming skills with the ability to develop and optimise machining processes
  • Experience producing setup sheets and technical documentation
  • Knowledge of tooling selection and setup for various materials, including plastics
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Basic maths skills for measurements, tolerances, and machining calculations

  • Understanding of plastics injection moulding processes
  • Experience within a precision engineering manufacturing environment
