CNC Machinist

Overview

Recruit4staff are representing their client, a leading manufacturer, in their search for a CNC Machinist to work in their facility in Halesowen.

There are 2 CNC Programmer roles available (Miller and Turning); it would be highly advantageous if you have programming/worked on both Milling and Turning machinery.

What is offered

• Hourly rate: £15 – £20 per hour (dependent on experience and programming level)
• Hours: 7:00am – 4:45pm, Monday to Thursday
• Employment type: Permanent

The role – CNC Machinist

• Programming, setting and operating CNC milling and turning machines
• Setting of tools and fixtures, making required adjustments to offsets on all CNC machines
• Developing and writing programs for CNC machines using CAD and Fusion software
• CNC machining prototypes or production batch work
• Machining a variety of materials
• Maintaining day-to-day housekeeping and safety for CNC machining centres
• Online and offline programming
• Working to different tolerances and from engineering drawings
• Routine maintenance of machinery/equipment
• Machining own jigs and fixtures

What our client is looking for

• Experience with Fanuc and Heidenhain controls
• Experience machining various materials
• Experience with 3-axis and 5-axis machinery
• Methodical approach to work
• Able to work on a variety of projects
• Ideally able to do both Milling & Turning
