Recruit4staff are representing a well-established precision engineering manufacturer in their search for a CNC Turner to work in Wigan.

Job Details:

  • Pay: Up to Β£19.50 per hour plus overtime
  • Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 7:30am - 4:00pm, Friday 7:00 - 3.00pm
  • Duration: Permanent
  • Benefits: Plenty of overtime available, Standard pension, 25 days plus bank holidays
  • Job Role: As a CNC Turner, you will join a busy precision engineering manufacturer specialising in the production of high-quality precision-machined components. The CNC Turner will programme, set and operate CNC lathes with Fanuc controls, manufacture small batch and one-off components, create and edit CNC programmes from engineering drawings, carry out quality inspections using measuring equipment and ensure all finished components meet customer specifications and quality standards.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

  • Programming, setting and operating CNC lathes with Heidenhain controls
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Creating and editing CNC programmes
  • Quality inspection using measuring equipment
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

  • One-off CNC programming experience
  • Experience of X & Y axis machining
  • Experience within a precision engineering environment

  • OTE of Β£50,000 through regular overtime
  • Standard pension scheme
