Recruit4staff are representing a leading food manufacturing business in their search for a Utilities Engineer to work in Wrexham.

Job Details:

  • Pay: £45,000 per annum
  • Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 07:00am – 4:30pm
  • Duration: Permanent

Job Role: As a Utilities Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering planned and reactive maintenance across all site buildings and facilities to support operational efficiency. The Utilities Engineer will work closely with multiple departments to maintain GMP standards, improve site performance, and minimise downtime. This Utilities Engineer role also involves analysing utility data, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring all assets are effectively maintained using CMMS systems.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar Utilities Engineer role
  • Broad engineering background within manufacturing or food production
  • Experience in facility maintenance and safe working practices including statutory compliance
  • Strong knowledge of PPM systems and CMMS software
  • Knowledge of HVAC, electrical and mechanical services
  • Electrical and mechanical qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3)
  • Ability to follow hygiene and PPE standards

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

  • Time served multi-skilled apprenticeship or facilities management experience
  • Experience using utility and infrastructure data to drive improvements

Additional Information:

  • Working within a continuous improvement culture
  • Liaising across departments to ensure high GMP standards
  • Supporting engineering planning and performance analysis
