Recruit4staff is pleased to represent a leading manufacturing company in its search for a Structural Design Engineer to work at their leading facility in Whitchurch.
For the successful Structural Design Engineer, our client is offering:
- Competitive salary paying up to £50,000 depending on experience
- Days-based role Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week - 8am-4pm or 7am-4pm with a 12pm finish on Fridays
- Permanent position within a well-established engineering business
- Pension scheme
The Role - Structural Design Engineer:
- Managing a variety of structural design projects at any given time
- Working on current project ranges and improving/modifying existing structural designs
- Producing detailed structural designs, drawings and calculations
- Working with departments across the business to report on the status of projects
- Preparation of technical documentation and design specifications
- Liaison with customers when required
- Ensuring all structural designs are produced to the required standards and specifications
- Designing using 2D & 3D CAD software, including SolidWorks
- Reviewing designs and drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Project management from initial concept through to completion
What our client is looking for in a Structural Design Engineer:
- Strong 2D / 3D structural design-based skills
- Qualified within a Structural, Civil or Mechanical Engineering discipline - Advantageous
- Previous experience within structural design or a similar engineering environment
- Proven ability to meet project deadlines
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong working experience with CAD design software, including SolidWorks
- Ability to produce and interpret technical drawings and specifications
