Recruit4staff are representing a well-established precision engineering company in their search for a Manual Machinist to work in Birkenhead.
Job Role: Operating within a precision engineering environment, the Manual Machinist will be responsible for setting and operating manual milling machines, tool changing, and interpreting engineering drawings. The role involves working with machines such as Bridgeport, Colchester Mastiff, Binns & Berry, Tiger, and KRV2000 to produce bespoke and small-batch orders to tight tolerances.
Job Details:
- Pay: Up to £40,000 per annum
- Hours of Work: Monday - Thursday 8am - 4:30pm, Friday 8am - 1pm
- Duration: Permanent
- Benefits: 25 days holidays & bank holidays, Company pension, Free parking, Christmas shutdown
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Setting & operating a manual milling machine
- Working from drawings and working to tight tolerances
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Experienced using manual lathe turners
- Experienced tool maker
- Experienced setting & operating CNC machine centres (Milling/Turning)
Essential Qualifications:
- City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
