Job Role:
As a Construction Assembly Operative, you will support the manufacture of high-quality modular and portable accommodation units. The role involves working with wood, metal and plastics to assemble and fit out modular buildings while following production schedules and technical drawings. The Construction Assembly Operative will prepare materials and components, carry out trimming and finishing work, install fixtures and fittings, assist with basic electrical and plumbing installations, operate hand and power tools safely, complete quality inspections and ensure all work meets company standards.
Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Assembly Operative within a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of carpentry, joinery, plumbing, electrics or general DIY works.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
- Competent in the safe use of hand tools and power tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced team environment.
- Good understanding of health and safety within a workshop or manufacturing environment.
Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:
- City & Guilds/NVQ in an Engineering/Construction related trade.
- Forklift licence.
- Previous experience within modular manufacturing, construction, building services.
