Recruit4Staff is proud to be working with their client, a leading UK designer & manufacturer, in their search for a permanent HVAC Engineer to work in their Shropshire head office.

What our client is offering for the successful HVAC Engineer:

  • Salary: Up to £62,000 (Depending on experience)
  • Hours of work: 8:00am - 5pm Monday to Friday but flexibility daily is required
  • Permanent position

The Role - HVAC Engineer:

  • Install and commission commercial HVAC and air conditioning systems
  • Fit VRV/VRF, split, and packaged air conditioning units
  • Install refrigeration pipework, drainage, ventilation, and ductwork
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and installation schematics
  • Perform pressure testing, evacuation, and system commissioning
  • Work with project teams to deliver installations safely and on schedule
  • Ensure all work meets manufacturer specifications and industry standards
  • Complete digital job reports and maintain accurate paperwork
  • Support site setup, material management, and commissioning activities
  • Follow RAMS, health and safety procedures, and working at height protocols

What our client is looking for in an HVAC Engineer:

  • F-Gas Certification (Category 1 or equivalent) - ESSENTIAL
  • NVQ / C&G Level 2 or Level 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (or equivalent experience) - ESSENTIAL
  • Proven experience installing commercial HVAC / air conditioning systems - ESSENTIAL
  • Experience installing VRV/VRF and split systems - ESSENTIAL
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and installation schematics - ESSENTIAL
  • Full UK Driving Licence (Manual) - ESSENTIAL
  • Asbestos Awareness - ESSENTIAL
  • Experience using electronic devices (e.g. tablets) for reporting and communication - ESSENTIAL
  • Willingness to travel nationwide and stay away from home where required - ESSENTIAL
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including night work where required - ESSENTIAL
  • IPAF (PASMA) / Working at Height certification - DESIRABLE
  • CSCS / Skill Card (HVAC or Mechanical) - DESIRABLE
  • Experience working on commercial building services projects - DESIRABLE
  • Experience installing ventilation or ductwork systems - DESIRABLE
  • Electrical awareness or experience working alongside controls / BMS systems - DESIRABLE
