Job Details:
- Pay: £20.75 – £22.55 per hour (higher rates paid daily after 4pm, Saturday morning overtime available, attendance bonus)
- Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 7:30am – 4:00pm
- Duration: Temporary (expected to last 2–3 months)

Job Role: The Fitters Mate will be working on biomass and chemical plant sites, assisting pipe fitters and mechanical fitters during installation, maintenance and shutdown projects. Duties include travelling to multiple sites, setting up pipework, installing steel brackets, bolting up flanges, and operating MEWPs. Working as a Fitters Mate on safety-critical industrial sites requires a strong work ethic and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:
- Experience assisting pipe fitters or mechanical fitters on installation or maintenance projects
- Previous experience on chemical plants or industrial sites
- SCATTS / CCNSG card
To be successful as a Fitters Mate, you must be comfortable with manual work and site environments.
Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:
- IPAF
- A Fitters Mate with shutdown or turnaround experience would be highly desirable
