Recruit4staff are representing a well-established facilities management company in their search for a Facilities Engineer to work in Coventry.
Job Details
- Pay: Up to £35,000 per annum (Additional callout standby bonus of £150 per week)
- Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, 5-day week. Working on a rota pattern covering shifts between 6:30 and 22:00
- Duration: Permanent
- Benefits: Company van for work use, fuel card, 29 days holiday inclusive of Bank Holidays (pro-rata to 31st December), standard pension, company wellness plan, free gym facilities at four sites in Coventry, annual profit share bonus, tools, PPE, uniform and phone provided, ongoing training opportunities.
Job Role
As a Facilities Engineer, you will operate in a mobile capacity across various commercial sites including offices, leisure centres and high-end apartment blocks throughout Coventry. The Facilities Engineer will carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks, along with general building repairs and multi-trade duties including plumbing, joinery, plastering and tiling. The Facilities Engineer will complete PPMs such as legionella checks, emergency lighting checks and fire extinguisher inspections, while accurately recording all PPM, reactive and condition reports using the company work app. This is a client-facing role requiring professionalism and strong communication skills.
Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications
- Previous experience in a building services or facilities management role
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical and multi-trade building services work
- Proven experience completing PPMs such as fire alarm and fire extinguisher checks
- Experience carrying out multi-trade building maintenance within commercial environments
- C&G / NVQ (or equivalent) in a building, construction trade, or mechanical engineering discipline
- Full UK Driving Licence
Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications
- C&G / NVQ in Electrical Installation or equivalent
- Qualifications in Legionella testing
