Recruit4staff are representing a leading marine engineering company in their search for an Electrical Fitter to work on the Wirral.
Job Details
- Pay: Up to £37,440 per annum (Depending on experience)
- Up to £18.00 per hour (Depending on experience)
- Hours of Work: 40 hours per week (08:00-16:30 Monday to Thursday & 08:00-15:00 Friday)
- Duration: Permanent

Job Role
The Electrical Fitter will be responsible for electrical fitting, maintenance, and assembly on a range of marine craft. Duties include bench work following schematics, making up new components such as wiring, data cabling, and fibre optics, and building wiring looms. You will assemble, install, repair, and modify electrical components, working on both small and large marine crafts. The Electrical Fitter will collaborate closely with team members to complete projects within set deadlines.
Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications
- Proven record in Electrical Fitting covering maintenance and assembly
- Experience stripping, overhauling, and assembling specialist equipment
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work through electrical problems with the design team
- Experience within new build and/or repair and maintenance environments
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
- Time served / Apprentice Trained Electrical Fitter or NVQ Level 3 Electrical Qualification (or equivalent)
Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications
- Experience working in the marine engineering or shipbuilding sector
- Experience working on small or large marine craft
- Knowledge of marine engines and propulsion systems
