For the successful Cathodic Protection Technician, our client is offering:
- Competitive rate paying between £30,000- £41,000 per annum - This will depend on the level of qualification you hold
- Permanent position
- Days based role 8:30am-5pm with a 1pm finish on Fridays - 36.5 hours per week - Must be flexible to start/finish times
- Company Vehicle
- Overtime opportunities paid at premium rates
The Role - Cathodic Protection Technician:
- Prepare technical bids against allocated and reviewed enquiries
- Generate BOM and services
- Liaise with the Sales department to obtain BOM sales prices for material element of projects
- Assist in performing Design work as required
- Coordinate subcontractors' activities
- Prepare and follow risk assessments
- Carrying out site surveys performing specific tests on Pipelines, Tank farms, refineries, pump stations, onshore marine terminals and jetties
- Supervise and assist in the installation of new or replacement CP equipment
- Writing up reports
- Perform maintenance checks and troubleshooting tests of existing protection systems
- Project management
- Collecting & reviewing data to determine condition of structures under evaluation
- Involvement in installation projects
- Travelling across the UK to customers, overseas travel may be involved as the role develops in time
- This role will involve travelling away during the week - But not on weekends
- Commissioning activities
What our client is looking for in a Trainee Cathodic Protection Technician:
- You must be willing to stay away from home as this will involve being away from home most weeks Monday to Thursday/Friday
- Strong communication skills
- Our client is looking for somebody with a Qualification - ICORR / NACE Level 2 or 3
- Understanding of CAD software
- Excellent attention to detail
- Keen to learn, this position will be working closely with a more experienced Engineer
- UK Driving Licence - Essential
- Passport - Essential
