Recruit4staff are representing a well-established materials handling equipment business in their search for a FLT Service Engineer to work in Carlisle

Job Details:

  • Pay: £36,000–£42,000 per annum (plus £100 call-out bonus)
  • Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm. Hours may vary subject to occasional customer requirements
  • Duration: Permanent
  • Benefits: Van with personal use, tool insurance, standard pension and 28 days' holiday

Job Role: As the FLT Service Engineer, you will carry out servicing, planned maintenance and repairs on forklift trucks and other types of lifting equipment. The FLT Service Engineer will run diagnostics and safety checks, identify faults and repair or replace electrical, mechanical and hydraulic components. The FLT Service Engineer will also order replacement parts when required, complete maintenance paperwork and job sheets, and occasionally travel to other local customer sites.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

  • Mechanical, electrical and hydraulic servicing experience suitable for an FLT Service Engineer working on materials handling or similar equipment
  • Level 3 Engineering qualification
  • Full UK driving licence

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

  • A Level 3 Engineering qualification specifically related to vehicles, powered access equipment, plant equipment or a similar discipline would be advantageous for the FLT Service Engineer
  • Commutable From: Carlisle, Penrith, Brampton, Wigton, Longtown, Dalston, Gretna and Annan
