Set within magnificent grounds, Sinah Warren is a beautiful, coastal 258‑bedroom hotel with a theatre, purpose‑built spa, leisure facilities (including gym and both indoor and outdoor pools), restaurant and bar, located on Hayling Island off the Hampshire coast close to Portsmouth.
Warner Hotels are looking for a talented Sous Chef to join the busy and friendly kitchen at Sinah Warren, on Hayling Island.
What will I be doing?
- Overseeing the day‑to‑day operations of the kitchen, ensuring all stations are properly organised and prepared for service.
- Supervising and training junior chefs, promoting a positive and collaborative working environment.
- Ensuring food safety standards are always adhered to, including proper storage, handling, and cooking techniques.
- Monitoring inventory levels and managing food costs to meet financial targets.
- Supporting the Head Chef in maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and responding to guest feedback.
What are we looking for?
- Understands the importance of working in a branded environment.
- Can create a culture of support and actively encourage teamwork.
- Willingness to challenge if standards aren’t meeting required levels.
- A chef with a passion for great food and service.
What skills do I need?
- Understands the importance of working with a branded menu.
- Experience managing orders, food stocks and forecasting against occupancy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to changing requirements.
- Strong financial knowledge with the ability to manage costs in line with the department’s budget.
