Leicestershire County are looking for carers who want to help their clients to live life to the full. Carers must live in Leicestershire (not Leicester City).
The Role
Shared Lives Carers provide long-term and short breaks social care placements in their own homes to support people from the age of 18, with learning disabilities, mental health, autism and Asperger’s, physical disabilities, sensory impairment or who are living with dementia and older people or who have lifelong disabilities who need personal care support in a homely environment. The Shared Lives Carer are self-employed. The council will send you referrals for clients which you can choose to accept or decline as you wish, and you can look after a maximum of three clients at a time. As a self-employed carer, you work from your own home, choose your own hours, and receive generous income tax incentives.
