This is an exciting opportunity for a committed and proficient Senior Technical Business Analyst to join our specialist Securities Trading team in Edinburgh. In the role, you will carry out requirement analysis, solution design, testing and implementation activities. We work closely with regional support, project and client teams, so in addition to being self-directed, we are looking for someone who enjoys collaborating with others!
Analyse business requirements and processes, acting as an intermediary between the business and development teams as part of the coding development process. Undertake testing activities as part of the development process to progress task completion and solution releasing post development completion. Be comfortable reading and comprehending technical code languages (like SQL) and the logic associated with such languages. Participate in client and prospects workshops explaining Avaloq features and embracing clients’ needs, evaluate possible scenarios and recommend best business and IT solutions. Actively manage client relationships by communicating regularly and providing business consulting services to Avaloq customers. Prepare reports and project documents concerning new client requirements, ongoing activities and project status.
Qualifications
- Solid business analysis skills and experience working in the Financial Services domain with technical exposure working on applications.
- Fantastic analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills with a service-oriented attitude.
- Experience working within Agile processes.
- An affinity for self-improvement and continuous learning.
It would be a bonus if you have:
- Any experience working with the Avaloq application.
- Experience within securities trading, securities trading interfaces (FIX, Swift), Transactional Reporting (MiFID, EMIR).
- Exposure or experience in PL/SQL and/or any other programming language, ideally with some development skills from prior experience, and the ability to query.
- University degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Mathematics or equivalent.
- German, French or Italian language skills.
