As a Salesforce AI Engineer, you’ll design, build and ship AI features on the Salesforce platform for some of the world’s leading organisations. Working across industries including Consumer Goods, Utilities, Automotive, Telecommunications, and Financial Services, you’ll spend most of your time hands‑on, building autonomous agents, connecting large language models to enterprise data, and getting AI systems running reliably in production. This is an engineering role, not a configuration one.

As Salesforce grows into a serious AI platform, you’ll be building with Agentforce, Einstein, Prompt Builder, Model Builder, and Data Cloud to create agents and AI‑driven features that hold up under real workloads. The work varies a lot. One day you might be designing an agent’s reasoning and actions in Agentforce, the next writing Apex to ground a model in Salesforce data, tuning prompts and retrieval so answers stay accurate, or setting up evaluation harnesses to catch problems before they reach users.

Your role

  • Partner with Salesforce Functional Consultants, Solution Architects, and AI Specialists to design and deliver innovative Salesforce and AI‑powered business solutions.
  • Leverage Agentforce, Einstein AI, Prompt Builder, Model Builder, and Data Cloud to develop intelligent experiences, autonomous agents, and AI‑augmented business processes.
  • Act as a Salesforce and AI subject matter expert within the Digital Customer Experience (DCX) practice, helping shape our next‑generation consulting capabilities and AI delivery methodologies.
  • Design and develop scalable Salesforce solutions using a combination of declarative and programmatic technologies including Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flow, JavaScript, Platform Events, and APIs.
  • Build AI‑enabled solutions that combine customer, operational, and enterprise data to deliver personalised, predictive, and proactive business experiences.
  • Integrate Salesforce with enterprise systems using MuleSoft, APIs, Event‑Driven Architectures, and AppExchange solutions to create connected digital ecosystems.
  • Utilise AI‑assisted development tools and modern DevOps practices to accelerate delivery, increase quality, and improve developer productivity.
  • Contribute to continuous innovation by evaluating emerging Salesforce AI capabilities and identifying opportunities to apply them across client engagements.
  • Support Agile delivery teams and champion modern engineering practices using tools such as Gearset, Copado, Flosum, GitHub, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Engage directly with client stakeholders, helping them understand how AI, automation, and Salesforce technology can unlock measurable business value.

Why You?

You’ll thrive at the intersection of technology, business consulting, and AI innovation. Working alongside clients, you’ll transform and develop ambitious business objectives into practical, scalable Salesforce solutions powered by automation, intelligence, and next‑generation AI capabilities. You’ll be expected not only to solve today’s challenges but to help clients prepare for an increasingly autonomous, AI‑driven future.

Your skill and experience

Technical Expertise

  • Strong Salesforce technical experience across one or more core clouds including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Industries Cloud, or Field Service.
  • Hands‑on experience developing solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flow, JavaScript, APIs, and Salesforce integration patterns.
  • Hands‑on experience building with Agentforce, Einstein, Prompt Builder and Model Builder, including designing agent actions, writing and tuning prompts, and grounding models in Salesforce data.
  • A working understanding of how large language models behave in practice: prompt engineering, retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG), grounding, and how to reduce hallucination.
  • Experience testing and evaluating AI features, for example building eval sets, measuring accuracy, and monitoring quality, cost and latency once live.
  • Knowledge of enterprise integration approaches, including MuleSoft, event‑driven architectures, REST/SOAP APIs, and external system connectivity, including connecting to AI models hosted outside Salesforce.
  • Experience building solutions for large‑scale environments supporting hundreds or thousands of Salesforce users.
  • Nice to have: familiarity with the Model Context Protocol (MCP), vector search and embeddings, or Python for AI tooling.

Consulting & Delivery

  • Proven experience translating complex business requirements and user stories into scalable technical solutions.
  • Experience delivering solutions using Agile methodologies within cross‑functional teams of engineers, architects, and business stakeholders.
  • The ability to explain technical and AI concepts clearly to both engineers and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Experience collaborating with third‑party delivery partners and Salesforce ecosystem vendors.
  • Solid grounding in DevOps and modern software engineering practices across the Salesforce delivery lifecycle.

Certifications & Continuous Learning

  • Salesforce Administrator
  • Platform Developer I & II
  • JavaScript Developer I
  • AI Specialist
  • Data Cloud Consultant
  • Salesforce Consultant Certifications (Sales, Service, Experience, Field Service, etc.)
  • Agentblazer Legend

A genuine appetite for learning, shown through certifications, Trailhead credentials, hands‑on Agentforce work, and keeping up with how AI capabilities are moving. The most successful engineers will combine:

  • Salesforce platform expertise
  • Hands‑on Agentforce
  • Data and integration knowledge
  • Clear technical communication
  • Automation‑first thinking
  • Modern engineering and DevOps practices

As Salesforce grows into a serious enterprise AI platform, you’ll be the one building the autonomous agents and intelligent features that make it real and setting the standard for how Salesforce AI Engineering is done.
