Job Description
Are you passionate about supporting young people to succeed and committed to creating a calm, structured environment where students can reflect, reset and re-engage with learning?
We areseekinga dedicated,resilientand highly organised Reflection Room Supervisorto play a key role inmaintainingour positive behaviour culture. This isan important position, responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the Reflection Room, providing students with a calm and purposeful environment where they can continue learning while reflecting on their behaviour.
You will supervise students who have been removed from lessons or are completing an internal suspension, ensuring theyremainengaged with their learning, meet the academy’s expectations, and are supported to successfully return to the classroom. You will work closely with teachers, Behaviour Leads, parents and senior leaders to coordinate work,maintainaccuraterecords, and support effective behaviour interventions.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone whoremainscalm under pressure, builds positive relationships with young people, and is committed tomaintaininghigh expectationswhile helping students make positive choices.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with young people in a school or similar setting
- The ability to remain calm,patientand confident when supporting students who may present challenging behaviour
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with students,staffand parents
- Strong organisational skills with the ability tomaintainaccuraterecords and manage competing priorities
- A proactive,resilientand solution-focused approach withhigh expectationsof behaviour and learning
- Confidence in promoting a calm, structured learning environment and supporting students to reflect, regulate and successfully re-engage with lessons
