Responsibilities
- Provide experienced leadership and demonstrable MEICA installation expertise to successfully deliver projects from inception to completion.
- Manage projects in accordance with NEC contract requirements, ensuring proactive risk identification, robust change control and effective commercial management.
- Ensure all works are delivered safely, to specification, on programme and within budget, with a zero‑tolerance approach to unsafe practices.
- Lead and actively engage project delivery and construction teams to promote a positive safety culture.
- Plan, coordinate and manage MEICA project activities in compliance with NEC processes, including programme management, early warnings, compensation events, cost control and timely decision‑making.
- Maintain clear, accurate and timely communication of project information throughout the lifecycle.
- Maintain strong client relationships and ensure quality at every stage of delivery.
- Support continuous improvement by driving efficiencies, managing interfaces and embedding lessons learned.
- Oversee project administration, procurement and supply chain management.
- Act as the key point of contact between the project and the programme.
- Identify, manage and resolve risks, track costs and benefits, and produce required reports.
- Manage stakeholder communications and key messages for the project.
- Ensure project-level resources deliver on time, at cost and with quality.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills for managing the Barhale MEICA team, third parties and clients.
- Team player capable of coordinating project activities with clients’ consultants and third parties.
- Good organisational and time‑management skills, able to prioritise a varied workload under pressure.
- Strong leadership qualities and a natural problem‑solving ability.
- Methodical and organised with excellent attention to detail.
Desirable:
- Degree or equivalent (foundation, HND, HNC).
- 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager delivering multiple projects of varying complexity and value.
- APM membership or equivalent certification.
- SMSTS / SSSTS qualification.
- CSCS card qualification.
- First Aid qualification (optional).
- 5‑day SMSTS.
