Your role: As a Sustainability Consultant at Capgemini Invent you will help clients understand, assess, and respond to the impacts of climate change on technology, digital services, operations, supply chains, and critical business functions. In this role you will play a key role in:

  • Lead client engagements alongside Capgemini Invent and wider Capgemini colleagues to implement sustainability strategies and frameworks, identifying broader opportunities to generate value for the client.
  • Understand their exposure to climate‑related risks, strengthen business continuity and operational resilience, embed climate resilience into transformation programmes.
  • Create measurable business, sustainability, and resilience outcomes through a “Resilient by Design” approach.
  • Be a leader in our sustainability community, proactively bring new ideas, approaches or innovative start‑ups to the broader team.
  • Champion the client value of sustainability across Capgemini.
  • Train our teams, account executives, and our leaders in the value of Climate resilience and adaptation, and the value it creates for our clients.

As part of your role you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the business and your own personal growth, through activities that form part of the following categories:

  • Business Development – Leading/contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events.
  • Internal contribution – Campaign development, internal think‑tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development.
  • Learning & development – Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications etc.

Your profile: You will likely have an educational background in Climate Science or other related disciplines. Experience in sustainability, climate risk, resilience, ESG, enterprise risk, or operational resilience consulting. Understanding of climate adaptation and physical climate risks. Familiarity with climate risk and resilience across sectors like Energy, Financial Services, Public Sector etc. Experience delivering complex consulting engagements and stakeholder management. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. You should be comfortable running projects, and have a solid understanding of the commercials of running a client delivery.

Optional: A passion for sustainability and an ability to communicate why this matters to clients and colleagues. Experience with climate risk modelling, resilience planning, or adaptation programmes. Knowledge of business continuity, operational resilience, cybersecurity, or disaster recovery. Familiarity with climate‑related reporting and disclosure frameworks (TCFD, ISSB, CSRD, TNFD, ISO 14091, etc.). Experience within government, financial services, utilities, telecommunications, healthcare, or critical infrastructure sectors. Understanding of Sustainable IT, GreenOps, FinOps, or Sustainable AI principles.
