The Role

Working Hours – 12hour shifts, continental patterndays and nights (results in working only 155days per year)

  • Communication & Reporting
  • Report machine defects, damage, or safety concerns immediately to the Shift Team Leader or Production Manager.
  • Complete all production and administration paperwork accurately and promptly.
  • Communicate stereo defects or damage to the Technical Department or Shift Team Leader for repair.
  • Support and deliver on-the-job training when required.
  • Machine Operation & Quality
  • Operate the print machine to the required production standards, KPI targets, and company procedures.
  • Ensure the machine is in a safe working condition and operate in accordance with the Safe System of Work.
  • Produce finished goods to the required quality standards and complete all quality control checks.
  • Check all stereos prior to use, ensure they are clean, serviceable, and returned to the correct storage location after use.
  • Ensure finished goods are palletised safely and in accordance with works order instructions.
  • Ensure completed pallets are correctly labelled and transferred promptly to the next operation area.
  • Safety, Environment & Housekeeping
  • Comply with all company Health & Safety policies and statutory requirements.
  • Take reasonable care for personal safety and the safety of others affected by work activities.
  • Follow company health, safety, environmental, hygiene, and BRCIOP requirements at all times.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and hazard-free machine and work area in line with housekeeping standards and Safe System of Work requirements.
  • Promptly report hazards, unsafe conditions, and incidents.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Support World Class Manufacturing initiatives.
  • Contribute to improvements through Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Waste Reduction, and Total Planned Maintenance (TPM).
  • Promote efficient use and care of materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Planning & Organisation
  • Ensure production output meets agreed targets and schedules.
  • Manage materials, tools, equipment, and company documentation within the scope of the role.
  • Undertake reasonable additional tasks requested by the Shift Team Leader or Production Manager in support of business needs.
