School of Architecture, Building and Civil Engineering

Part time (16 hours per week), term time only.

The School of Architecture, Building and Civil Engineering is one of the largest centres for built environment education in the UK. We bring together outstanding facilities, superb teaching, world leading research and excellent colleagues. We currently rank 1st in the UK for Architecture and 1st in the UK for Building (Complete University Guide 2027).

Successful applicants will be able to develop architecture design studio content, deliver corresponding high quality teaching at undergraduate and/or MArch level and conduct associated assessments. Candidates for Senior Design Tutor should have a background in architecture and experience of working in architectural practice, including undertaking architectural design.

The successful candidate will be experienced in teaching at undergraduate level, including conducting associated assessments and supervising dissertation projects and will be committed to maintaining the School’s high standards in teaching and learning.

The position is 0.25 FTE pro rata which is 2 days per week, 8 hours per day and is term-time only (for 30 weeks). Annual leave will be accrued at the end of the year and paid in addition to the 0.25 FTE salary. Salary will be in the Specialist and Supporting Academic Grade SSA7, £47,389 – £56,535 pro rata per annum, at a starting salary to be confirmed on offer of appointment.
