IT Assets Officer
IT Services is seeking a full‑time, campus‑based IT Assets Officer.
The role will join a small team responsible for the management and procurement of all end‑user IT hardware across the East Midlands campus.
Responsibilities
- Procure and manage all end‑user IT hardware, ensuring timely delivery and installation.
- Process equipment requests, obtain quotes, liaise with colleagues, assign, deliver and install equipment campus‑wide.
- Supervise the asset team on a day‑to‑day basis, overseeing operational activities and escalating issues.
- Manage the full asset lifecycle, from order to delivery, installation and disposal of redundant equipment.
- Deliver equipment using University vehicles, including carrying and lifting items as required.
- Maintain a fully on‑campus presence; working from home is not permitted.
Qualifications
- Experience and knowledge of IT hardware and procurement processes.
- Highly organised with a keen eye for detail.
- Capability to drive University vehicles.
- Physical ability to lift and handle equipment.
