Under the direction of the Talent Acquisition Senior Manager, the Talent Acquisition Assistant will work with the North American (NAMR) Experienced Hire (EH) recruiting team to support Consultant and Associate EH recruiting efforts across NAMR offices. This includes interview day planning, candidate pipeline development, event planning and execution, marketing and branding related activities, and system and resource management. This position requires confidentiality and professionalism and someone who can deliver in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adapt quickly to change. The Talent Acquisition Assistant must have effective written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, prioritize work, and think proactively.

What You’ll Do

  • Managing first round interviewer logistics, including schedule management, interviewer swaps, and email communications.
  • Identifying strong talent and following up with candidate inquiries, while developing BCG presence and a positive candidate experience.
  • Assisting with planning, marketing, and execution of Experienced Hire events.
  • Partnering with Regional and Office Talent Acquisition teams to ensure smooth execution of recruiting strategy; build network and liaise with peers to ensure alignment on all initiatives.
  • Ensuring recruiting records, global database, and metrics are up to date and accurate.
  • Organizing your roles and responsibilities and effectively communicating updates and progress with team members.
  • Assisting with special projects and initiatives across broader Experienced & Specialized Talent and NAMR TA teams.

What You’ll Bring

  • BA/BS degree required.
  • 1-2 years of recruiting, HR, or relevant work experience preferred.
  • High customer service and relationship orientation – strong interpersonal and communication skills, highly responsive, want to deliver great results at all times, able to develop effective working relationships with candidates and with colleagues across the organization.
  • Excellent time and project management skills. You have clear systems and composure to deal with multiple tasks at once, with a great attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when under pressure.
  • Organizational skills to assist with all the behind-the-scenes magic while providing creative solutions, driving our high-level customer service, and positively impacting our recruiting efforts.
  • A strong intellectual curiosity. You’re a creative thinker, interested in the bigger picture, always looking to solve problems.
  • Self-motivated and trustworthy. You take initiative and can work independently, exercising judgment in managing confidential/sensitive information.
  • Advanced Computer proficiency: Windows applications (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel); Database familiarity.
  • Ability to work overtime during peak recruiting periods.

Who You’ll Work With

You’ll be working with a closely knit team of Talent Acquisition members across the North America regional recruiting team. You’ll be supporting Experienced Hire recruiting programs, and you’ll work with other Talent Acquisition team members to back each other up and help each other out when things get extra busy or when someone is out of the office. The team is very collaborative and enjoys learning and mentoring each other. Your manager will be a great resource for support and trouble-shooting, and will provide developmental guidance and support as you grow your career at BCG.

Total compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, contributions to BCG’s Profit Sharing and Retirement Fund (PSRF), and a market leading benefits package.

We expect total annualized compensation for Chicago-based employees to be approximately the following:

  • Base salary between $60,000- $70,500 (USD); placement within this range will vary based on experience and skill level.
  • Annual discretionary performance bonus between 0-12%.
  • 5% Profit Sharing Retirement Fund (PSRF) contribution, increasing to 10% after two years of service. Contributions are vested immediately and there is no waiting period.
  • First year annualized target total compensation: $70,560 – $82,900 (USD).

  • Generous paid time off including 12 holidays per year, an annual office closure between Christmas and New Years, and 15 vacation days per year (earned at 1.25 days per month).
  • Paid sick time on an as needed basis.
