Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Proven track record of leading quality and test transformation, embedding shift‑left, automation‑first, and risk‑based testing across multiple delivery teams and initiatives.
  • Strong, demonstrable hands‑on experience with test automation, with the credibility to operate at code, framework, and tooling level when required.
  • Proven expertise in defining, implementing, and governing test automation strategies and execution models, including:
    • Web and application UI automation
    • API and integration automation
    • End‑to‑end and regression automation
    • Integration with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows
  • Experience with modern automation tooling and frameworks, including:
    • Selenium or WebDriver‑based automation frameworks
    • BDD frameworks such as Cucumber
    • Contemporary test automation and quality engineering toolsets
  • Strong leadership experience managing and mentoring large, multi‑disciplinary QA and automation teams, including onshore and offshore delivery models.
  • Deep understanding of test governance, assurance frameworks, KPIs, metrics, and quality reporting, with experience establishing quality gates and checkpoints.
  • Strong experience with test and delivery tooling, including JIRA and Xray, and the ability to generate meaningful quality insights through reporting and dashboards.
  • Proven ability to engage, influence, and challenge senior engineering, delivery, and business stakeholders, translating technical quality risks into clear outcomes and decisions.
  • Demonstrated experience managing budgets, forecasts, and commercial models, delivering measurable improvements in quality, efficiency, and cost.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong technical understanding of modern software engineering architectures, including cloud‑based platforms, microservices, and distributed systems.
  • Experience embedding quality practices within Agile, DevOps, and hybrid delivery models, including fixed‑price and time‑and‑materials engagements.
  • Exposure to AI‑assisted as well as low‑code or intelligent test automation solutions and their application at scale.
  • Experience with advanced reporting and analytics tools (e.g. eazyBI or equivalent) to support portfolio‑level quality and delivery insights.
  • Background working in consulting‑led, multi‑supplier, or enterprise transformation environments.
  • Experience driving continuous improvement through defect trend analysis, root‑cause analysis, and test effectiveness metrics.
  • Proven ability to influence testability and quality at architecture and design stage, partnering closely with Engineering and Architecture teams.
