About the Role
MTVH are looking for a Policy and Compliance Manager to lead the delivery of a robust regulatory and compliance programme across the Development Directorate. This role is responsible for ensuring audit readiness, managing internal and external audits, and providing assurance that regulatory requirements and governance standards are consistently met. You will work closely with external bodies such as Homes England and the Greater London Authority, ensuring all submissions are accurate, timely, and supported by a clear audit trail.
Therefore, as part of the team, you will drive continuous improvement across policies, procedures, and control frameworks. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, lead a small team, and embed best practice through effective monitoring, reporting, and the use of technology to enhance compliance and data quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead regulatory submissions to Homes England and GLA, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance
- Plan and deliver internal and external audits, including tracking and closing audit actions
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and control frameworks across the Development programme
- Monitor compliance performance, identify risks, and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement
- Use data and technology to enhance assurance processes, reporting, and audit readiness
What you’ll need to succeed
- Strong experience in audit, compliance, or governance within a regulated environment
- Knowledge of housing sector regulation, funding frameworks, and grant compliance (e.g. Homes England / GLA)
- Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical and data skills, with the ability to use digital tools to support assurance and reporting
- Proven ability to lead, influence, and drive improvements across policies, processes, and teams
