Role Overview:
We are looking for a MICE Sales Manager, Scotland to oversee the sales strategy and operations for Apex Hotels. You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective sales plans and tactics to generate new business and amplify revenue streams within the MICE segment. You will also build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Main Responsibilities:
- Strengthen relationships with all key MICE customers and uncover additional opportunities within those accounts to increase penetration and maximise profit, targeting F&B and corporate opportunities.
- Employ a consultative approach to drive MICE revenue growth and fortify relationships across various markets.
- Research, identify and establish new business sales contacts, develop relationships and distribution opportunities from existing MICE programs and partners.
- Liaise and work closely with the Scotland based Groups and Events Managers and their respective teams, together with the Revenue and wider Sales Team.
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of agent and end user booker accounts, and work with the Group Director of Sales to create bespoke MICE offerings.
- Flexibility to regularly facilitate the entertainment of MICE agents/clients.
- Regular domestic and annual international travel to both key MICE trade shows, client offices and emerging business markets.
- Regular regional travel across all geographical areas of the portfolio will be required.
- Manage a team of regional MICE Sales Executives, to ensure individual and overall department goals are achieved.

As the MICE Sales Manager, Scotland, you will have:
- Multi-property experience in the specific MICE sales area.
- Experience in MICE sales management, preferably within hotel industry.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to coach, mentor, and inspire a team of sales professionals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate and influence at all levels.
- Ability to identify opportunities and challenges and develop creative solutions.
- Knowledge of hotel operations, revenue management, hospitality industry trends and best practices.
- Deadline oriented while managing resources within budgetary confines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and adeptness in leveraging spreadsheets for comprehensive data analysis and budgetary oversight.
