We are seeking an experienced Logistics Operative to oversee and coordinate all on-site logistics activities, including managing the flow of goods, supervising delivery processes, ensuring accurate documentation, and maintaining high safety and customer service standards.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the running of the day-to-day contract as directed by the Head of Security.
- Deal with tenants and contact them regarding the arrival of their deliveries.
- Handle contractors’ deliveries, monitoring the use of the loading and goods lift.
- Coordinate the training of new staff in line with company regulations, ensuring all trainees achieve a high level of competency.
- Complete all work requests from the Head of Security or the One Bartholomew Close Management Team within the given time, providing a valid reason for any non-completion.
- Hand over all shift information, including expected deliveries, collections, and work permits, to the oncoming Supervisor.
- Enforce Hostile Vehicle Mitigation measures and strict access control measures at the Loading Bay.
- Attend client huddle meetings or other meetings concerning the loading bay and building.
- Maintain loading bay areas to a high standard of cleanliness and operational efficiency.
- Follow all health & safety requirements and legislation.
- Assist with the day-to-day administration of the loading bay access control system.
- Ensure vehicles entering the loading bay are searched when required.
- Review service provision and suggest improvements or innovations where appropriate.
- Respond proactively to any client or customer requests.
- Work with the Head of Security to deliver a professional and efficient service to tenants and guests.
- Assist with VIP access.
- Monitor traffic management and report violations.
- Cover post-room duties in the absence of the Post Room Officer.
- Comply with loading bay operational hours set by the Corporation of London.
- Assist emergency services as required.
