Location: Woodchester, Glos
Renishaw is currently seeking to recruit a Logistics Controller who will have joint accountability for all freight and courier parcel movements between Renishaw manufacturing sites/UK operations and customer destinations. The role will require the individual to coordinate the ongoing development of suitable procedures and protocols across the Renishaw manufacturing sites to ensure the efficient administration of goods movements, and adherence to regulatory and legislative requirements.
Key responsibilities:
- Coordinate domestic and international shipment bookings and track deliveries end‑to‑end.
- Proactively manage delays, exceptions, and escalations to ensure service continuity.
- Liaise with internal teams, carriers, and logistics providers to coordinate shipments and resolve issues.
- Act as a first point of contact for logistics‑related queries and provide clear shipment updates.
- Support customs compliance, import/export documentation, and accurate logistics data management.
- Assist with reporting on shipments, costs, and supplier performance.
- Validate and process freight invoices to ensure accurate cost allocation.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, cost control, and service levels.
Key requirements:
- Experience in a logistics or supply chain role.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Confident communicator, able to work with multiple stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience working with logistics providers or freight forwarders.
- Understanding of import/export processes, customs compliance, and export controls.
