As an Investment Data Analyst, you will support the management and quality of security and investment data across Aberdeen’s public markets business. Based in Edinburgh and reporting to the Data Management Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring data flows from custodians and vendors are accurate, complete and fit for purpose. You will investigate and resolve data exceptions, support corporate actions processing and respond to queries from investment and operational stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor, validate and maintain investment and security data received from custodians and data vendors.
  • Investigate and resolve data exceptions relating to positions, static data and security attributes.
  • Support the processing and review of corporate actions to ensure accurate downstream impact.
  • Respond to data queries from front office, operations and other internal teams.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data quality, controls and processes.

Qualifications

  • Experience in investment or security data within an asset management or financial services environment.
  • Understanding of asset classes such as equities and fixed income.
  • High attention to detail with an analytical and questioning mindset.
  • Comfortable working with data, systems and reconciliations in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn and develop within a collaborative, global team.
